We mailed AGW Vol 12 No 3 in late November. This issue includes Shavorana from Paul Yandell's Drive On CD, and some great licks from the album, too. (My favorite is the ending to Odell Martin's arrangement of Sugarfoot Rag.) My contributions are the Christmas favorite Jolly Old St. Nicholas (from my Christmas Time CD), and my arrangement of the praise chorus He Is Lord. Julie and I recently did an in-store appearance and CD signing at a local bookstore for Melissa and the Green Blanket. (Actually, Julie signed while I played a little Christmas music.) Our son Bennett was on hand with his MacBook laptop, demonstrating the Melissa QuickTime movie. We were joined by the real-life Melissa (who forgot her green blanket.)
Look for my transcription of Chet Atkins' My Town in the January 2007 issue of Acoustic Guitar magazine (on newstands now). Also, my transcription of Chet's recording of Back to Old Smoky Mountain will be in the next issue of Mister Guitar (journal of the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society). My own tune Streetwise (from the Fingerpickin' CD) is featured in the current issue of Fingerstyle Guitar magazine.
